The MEDL-EA, medical luminaire, has an array of diverse design capabilities that make it the ideal option for patient rooms in hospitals and healthcare facilities. This series may be installed individually, or more typically, as parallel pairs. The multi-functional luminaire provides exam lighting, ambient lighting, or can operate as both simultaneously. The exam and ambient lighting can be designed at different color temperatures allowing for the best visual acuity for caregivers while providing the soft and comfortable lighting desired by patients.
HOUSING: Die-formed, 20-gauge cold rolled steel housing. Housing has an access plate on top with two 7/8" diameter knockouts.
REFLECTOR: Highly reflective, die-formed steel finished in baked white enamel. Consult factory for
High Efficiency Optics (HEO) options.
SHIELDING: Standard shielding is LED optimized diffuse polycarbonate. Acrylic is also available.
Diffuser is lift and shift style for easy interior access.
LEDS: Mid-powered LED arrays in 30/35/40 & 50K CCT, 80+ CRI. L70 = 50,000 hours @ 25 C° ambient temperature.
ELECTRICAL: Class 2 driver, 120/277v input, PF> 90%, THD < 20 @ 120v. A variety of dimming,
emergency battery back-up and sensor options are available. Two circuit wiring for switcing between
Exam and Ambient functions is standard.
MOUNTING: Standard installation is in an exposed inverted T-bar ceiling. May also be installed in mini grid, slot grid and plaster/drywall ceiling types. A surface mount option is also available.
FINISH: Fixture housing and steel components are finished in baked white enamel applied over a fivestage pretreatment process.
CERTIFICATION: Luminaires are cETLus listed conforming to UL STD. 1598 and certified to CSA STD C22.2 NO. 250.0. Union Made in the United States of America. I.B.E.W.
